Btihal Remli, The Djinn Diaries

7 – 30.05.2021

Childhood stories about evil Djinn lead the artist, Btihal Remli, to Morocco to explore these supernatural beings. She follows the clues and tales of the people who introduce her to their world of Djinn. Following no narrative, the exhibition presents visual notes from the artist’s three-year research. Writing, illustrations, video, photographs and artifacts are installed in the space and tell with a visual restraint and clarity about the search for the Djinn.
